Terms of Service

1. Who we are
Pining is operated by Salesmap Inc.(“we”, “us”). Representative: Hee Yeong Jeong. Registered address: 13F 1310, 27 Teheran-ro 2-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul 06241, Republic of Korea. 2. What the service does
Pining lets you hold ongoing conversations with fictional AI characters. Each character has its own personality and situation, and replies are generated by an AI model. Characters are fictional. Nothing they say is advice — medical, legal, financial, or otherwise — and it should not be relied on as fact.
3. Your account
You sign in with a Google account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the service. You are responsible for activity under your account. One person may hold one account; creating multiple accounts to collect sign-up or daily rewards repeatedly is not permitted.
4. Rubies
Rubies are the in-service currency used to send messages. Sending one message costs 10 rubies. We grant rubies when you create an account and when you check in each day, and you can buy more.
Rubies have no cash value outside the service. They cannot be transferred between accounts, exchanged for money, or redeemed for anything other than use within Pining. Rubies are valid for 5 years from the date they are granted, whether purchased or received as a reward; expired rubies are removed from your balance. If we discontinue the service, see section 8.
5. Payment
Payments are processed by PayPal. We are the seller of record for all orders. Prices are shown in US dollars; where taxes apply, they are included in or added to the price shown at checkout, depending on your location.
Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service to:
- produce or solicit sexual content involving minors, or content depicting real, identifiable people in sexual or defamatory situations
- submit or solicit content that is obscene, pornographic, or sexually explicit
- harass, threaten, or promote violence or self-harm toward yourself or any real person
- generate content that is unlawful where you live, or that infringes others’ rights
- probe, scrape, reverse-engineer, or automate access to the service, or resell access to it
- circumvent ruby costs, payment, or any usage limit
7. Content and ownership
Characters, artwork, and the service itself remain ours. You keep whatever rights you have in the messages you write. You grant us permission to store and process your conversations so we can operate the service — generating replies, keeping your history, and preventing abuse.
8. Suspension and changes
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we close your account for a breach, unused rubies are forfeited. If we discontinue the service or close your account for any other reason, we will refund unused purchased rubies on the terms in our Refund Policy.
We may change these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will note it here with a new “last updated” date before it takes effect.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided as is. AI-generated replies can be inaccurate, inconsistent, or unsuitable, and we do not guarantee any particular output or uninterrupted availability. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer under Korean law.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes will be heard by the courts of the Republic of Korea, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
